Welcome to the Salescraft newsletter

Why this newsletter exists + what's coming next

Hello there šŸ‘‹. I’m so glad you’re here. Let’s dive in…

What this newsletter is about

This newsletter is a journal — a journal to better understand the craft of Sales.

Along the way, you can expect to find stories about my (and others’) successes, failures, side quests, detours, and other epic tales.

At its best, this newsletter will be an ode to the craft of Sales (what I call ā€œSalescraftā€), exploring the magic and mystery of Sales done right. When trust is built. Deals are closed. Problems are solved. And lifelong friendships are made.

What you can expect

I consider myself an ā€œabove averageā€ salesperson at best. So this newsletter isn’t going to be me preaching to you about how to do Sales right. Instead, it’s going to be an exploration of the craft through interviews and stories from true Sales masters.

Together, we’ll explore various approaches to Sales—what works and what doesn’t. Whether that’s frameworks, cold call openers, books, or podcasts. Basically anything that elevates our understanding of great Sales is fair game.

This will also be a space where I dive into new technologies and make predictions about the future of Sales. For instance, how to leverage AI to improve prospecting or use parallel dialers to book more meetings and build pipeline. These tools should serve to advance the craft of Sales, and I’m excited to explore them.

And there will be humor too — because we can’t be serious all the time. šŸ™ƒ

Why I’m doing this

This newsletter is for me. Sales isn’t just my job; it’s what my company does. Sales has taught me so much, and I know it will continue to teach me even more. Improving my understanding of what good Salescraft looks like benefits both me and my company.

Writing also brings me clarity. By writing this newsletter, I’ll refine my ideas and learn to communicate them more effectively. Over time, my writing will improve (yes, I know it’s not great yet).

What I hope to accomplish

On a more altruistic note, I hope this newsletter inspires a few people to more deeply love the craft of Sales. For those already in love with Sales, I hope it provides tips, tricks, and techniques to help you become an even better Seller.
